2004

  • 4th ARAW Values Awards, first week of December, with a TV special over ABS-CBN by the last week of December.

    • Developed the ARAW Values Awards logo, adopted in 2008 as the program’s permanent “brand” and theme.

2006

  • Formal turnover of the ARAW Values Awards program to the Advertising Foundation of the Philippines by the AdBoard board in April.

  • 5th ARAW Values Awards, December 13, with a TV special over ABS-CBN in early January 2007.

  • Co-chaired by Raul Alvarez of AdBoard and Antonio Samson, Ad Foundation Chairman.

  • Theme: “May Panlaban ka ba sa ARAW?”

    • Launched an ARAW Awards website.

    • Implemented a multimedia communications/promotional program.

    • Enhanced Special Jury composition to include judges from government, cultural communities, and select NGOs.

    • Sustained only the People’s Choice Awards.

2007

  • The Ad Foundation board, chaired by Johnip G. Cua, decided to make the ARAW Values Advertising Awards a foundation flagship project.

  • Adopted the 4th ARAW Values Awards logo as the permanent brand/ID of the biennial awards program; stylized sun with “Let Filipino Values Shine” slogan.

  • Enhanced objectives to include inculcating positive Filipino values to the youth and the general public for social change along nation-building goals.

  • Implemented Special Awards: “Students’ Choice” and “People’s Choice.”

  • Held roadshows to industry sectors, other associations, and academe to promote the awards program.

  • Awards Night was held for the first time at ABS-CBN’s Dolphy Theater, with cocktails at the ABS-CBN garden.

2010

  • 7th ARAW Values Awards, early December, with a TV special over ABS-CBN and The Filipino Channel (TFC) in the second and third weeks of January.

  • Chaired by Ad Foundation Board Secretary, the late Manuel “Meckoy” Quiogue.

  • Theme: “You can tell the values of a nation through its ads – Norman Douglas”

    • Tactical slogan: “Values Rock”

    • Simplified judging criteria: Values Message - 50%, Creativity - 40%, Implementation Integrity & Production Execution - 10%.

    • Enhanced competition rules:

      • Included student entries.

      • Simplified competition categories into single media and multimedia entries for Branded Communications and Advocacy/Institutional Advertising.

      • Expanded competition coverage to include new fields/developments, e.g., Digital/Interactive Marketing.

      • Removed Special Awards, including “People’s Choice.”

2012

  • 8th ARAW Values Awards, December 7, with TV specials over ABS-CBN and TFC in mid- and late-January.

  • Meckoy Quiogue as Overall Organizing Chairman.

  • Theme: Sustained the 7th ARAW Values Awards theme

    • Tactical slogans: “May ARAW Ka Rin” (for roadshows) and “Pag May Values Sikat! Join now” (for competition “Call for Entries”).

    • Developed ARAW Values Awards theme song; lyricist - Robert Labayen, composer-arranger – Roy del Valle.

    • Simplified the ARAW 7 Cornerstone Values and its definition, a handiwork of Robert Labayen.

    • Robert Labayen's research established the ARAW Values Awards as the only one of its kind worldwide.

    • Expanded competition rules to include Direct Communications, Digital/Interactive, Viral Advertising, and other marketing communication trends.

    • Maximized viewership and message reach through delayed nationwide TV specials and subsequent airing over TFC.

2014

  • 9th ARAW Values Awards, November 20, with a TV special on December 7 over ABS-CBN.

    • Sustained with tactical slogans, “Missing ... (specific Cornerstone Value)” in poster series, roadshow AV presentations, and competition TV plugs.

    • Enhanced competition rules, particularly on technical requirements.

    • Established new benchmarks: highest number of entries from industry (369) and students (25), generating gross competition fees of almost Php 1.23M.

    • Highest number of attendees for ARAW Values Awards Night in its entire history, uniting the entire industry, including competitive TV networks ABS-CBN, GMA Network, and TV5.

    • Most publicized and highly promoted ARAW Values Awards season using traditional media and digital marketing ads, along with Social Media Communications like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.

2016

  • The 11th ARAW Values Advertising Awards biennial season, chaired by Ruperto S. Nicdao, Jr.

  • Formally appointed Ma. Belen M. Fernando of Alaska Milk Corporation as the Overall Organizing Chairperson.

  • Known for her innovative ways, tenacity, dedicated passion, and integrity.

  • This 11th season further elevated the status and relevance of the ARAW Values Advertising Awards in Advocacy Advertising and Social Marketing.

2019

  • Implementation of the ARAW Values Advertising Awards on a biennial basis, initially scheduled for 2018 for its 11th season, was postponed to 2019 by the 11th ARAW Values Awards Organizing Committee, chaired once more by Blen Fernando.

  • The postponement was due to several special events in the multi sector industry and the country, notably the Philippine hosting of the Southeast Asian Games.

  • Additional studies were conducted to create an ARAW Values Awards program that is more inclusive and responsive to the evolving landscape and needs of the times.

  • Preparations for the ARAW Values Advertising Awards began in early 2019.

  • The ARAW Awards schedule for a November 2019 culmination was further postponed to late January 2020, with a delayed telecast in mid- or late February 2020.

    • This change was due to industry demands for an extension of the competition entries' submission deadline to early November, the SEA Games hosting schedule from mid-November to early December, and the long Christmas holiday season in the country.

  • Postponing the 11th ARAW Values Advertising Awards became an opportunity for innovation.

    • The ARAW Values Awards Organizing Committee's unanimous decision in July 2019 led to the birth of the 2019 ARAW Values Technical Awards.

    • The competition rules for the Technical Awards were completed in early October, with immediate pilot implementation.

    • The ARAW Values Awards program, highlighted by the presentation of various ARAW winners in 7 technical fields of expertise, was scheduled for early January 2020.

    • This initiative marked a milestone for the 11th ARAW Values Awards.
